I am trying to play Spellforce 2 for the first time. The opening movie seems to run fine, but the first cutscene with my player character lags horrendously. The gameplay itself after the cutscene also lags horrendously.

I am running an intel i9 with an Nvidia 4070ti.

Is this a problem with the game itself, or is this just a matter of lowering the graphics settings or something?

The Anniversary Edition is sadly buggy trash. Highly recommend to play the original Gold Edition with the Hardware Patch:
