Heyho,
i just bought SpellForce 1 Platinum and can't even finish the tutorial.
Every time i move my mouse, the screen freezes.
This happens as soon as the Game starts, if i move my mouse enough (in a normal amount you would during a downtime in the game) i can "pause" the intro videos, including the sound, until i stop moving.

What i did:
- Turned on and off VSYNC, neither changes something (yes both ingame and the NVIDIA Controll Panel)
- Tried in Windowed Mode
- Unplugged Second Monitor

I have 2 retail versions (Diamond and Platinum) and the Platinum on Steam

Everything freezes (If I go fast enough I can go as low as 1 fps) ONLY when the mouse is moving

At first I thought it was because of my razer mouse and keyboard but I then I tried using logitech hardware and it didn't fix the problem

Found what caused the fps drops

It was Razer Synapse, as soon as I uninstalled it went back to normal

wait how did you fix this? Im having the exact same problem with SF 1 and 2 as well and I haven't figured out how to fix it yet... please this is one if not my most favorite games of all time.

Its not the nvidia fix because I don't have an nvidia card on this pc and i searched for that razer program you talked about and i don't think i have that one either.

I am experiencing the exact same issues (unplayable due to blinking cursor).

Computer specifications:
Windows 10
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1035G1
nVIDIA card (512 MB)
8 GB RAM

Also tried to open spellforce with turned off Vsync (both game & system), in window mode, but it did not solve the problem. I do not have Razer Synapse (or any other Razer products related apps).

Yes, I had the same problem.

For me the solution was to turn off NVIDIA Display Container LS in Services. Don't know why that worked and I just turned it on after playing.

For me turning off nvidia servcie or two nvidiacontainer.exe directly (not matter) make driver not worked in some games that i try (after that i turn it back and never touch it).
But nvidia drivers is broken permanently. it been AMD-like long ago. Since they increase cost of they top geforce models (from 600 USD to 1k USD and next one to 3k USD and that long BEFORE miners crisis'es). Now Nvidia sell card at x300% cost, manufacters increase it even more and retailers doe to mining even more). But drivers since 390 (any 4xx) can lead to BSOD on some cards even if officially should supported. Some crashed even on desktop, some only after some time in the game. At least on notebooks... not sure about others on nvidia forum. not every one describe which one GFX card (desktop\mobile) and what OS they use. Im on Win7 and even supported - probably that the reason. Microsoft force everyone to broke Win7 compatibility.

So. You should use two ways:
- be careful with killing nvidiacontainer exe's. Dont forged to turn it back.
- try to switch to some one of the latest stable build for video driver, but not recent one. Or one of the nearest to already installed. If hat not change anything to better - keep use first way. Thanks for info. Since i faced some troubles with video driver after touching nvidiacontainer, im never get that this is can be solution. So now i know that this can broke one games and solve another.

Also, if you have two video cards - one if integrated - try change it in Nvidia Control Panel to integrated. it help me with some old games (they work, but flickering).
