I got home from vacation (7-3) to an email saying a special was offered through the 29th of June for Spellforce etc.
The link took me to a page saying the special was active but not according to the checkout price in the cart.

I agree the "Download now" button @ the stated price of 13.98 should probably be taken down. The page could stay, even if only for historical purposes.
I don't understand your problem though. You got home 03/07/2009? That is yesterday. And you post a complaint about not being able to use a promo that lasts until 29/06/2009?

No, I post because the promo page still allows you to do everything including going to checkout as if it is still a valid offer.
Promotions do get extended historically. Perhaps not here but other places.
Having it up with the price still was misleading.

Ok, last I'll say of it is that I simply disagree.
How can it be misleading when the end date is clearly stated in the E-mail?
That promotions are historically extended doesn't seem like a valid argument to me, since
historically, those extensions are also announced.
