I just purchased the game and have only played through the Prologue (i.e. Tutorial) portion of the game, but noticed a few things.
1. Silly bad voice acting. Misplaced inflection, lack of any believable tension etc. makes for some silly but painful to listen to dialogue.
2. The main Tutorial character saying "Forwards" instead of simply "Forward."
Thoughts I's woulds points thats outs! :o)
3. The painfully silly way the Tutorial Narrator takes so long to talk or tell you what to do, and if you do it in advance you still have to go through the motions at the appointed time.
4. EDIT: Forgot to add this. In the Prologue one of my Huntsmen evidently could not find any food so he started shooting the Trades Person (the guy you buy stuff from) over and over. He never killed him but man it was a really dumb...erm...silly AI stunt.
5. Finally, the silly fun this game provides. It has been a very fun game thus far, and despite the camera not allowing you to turn the game world and keep it that way, and the odd waste of space that the over sized buildings take up; this game I think will provide an enjoyable time.
That is as long I keep thinking everything is simply silly in the game that should be less so.
All I can say is..."Forwards!"

The camera : Go into the options menu, and under game options you have one called "Auto North". Just turn it off and the camera will face any direction you want and it will stay that way.
Thanks for the camera tip.
Heh, the voice acting is pretty horrendous in this game, and i remember running into the exact same AI shenanigans with the hunter and the trader (fortunately I don't remember running into any other AI glitches of this magnitude during the rest of the game). But if you can get past the voice acting the game will provide many, many hours of fun. The RTS component crumbles a bit towards the end of the original campaign, due to your avatar and rune warriors becoming overpowered compared to enemy units and especially compared to your regular units. Fortunately the two expansions do a much better job with regards to the RTS component.
a silly thing that i know is when you're avatar is standing still somewhere he auto attacks the meleeguys but NOT the ranged fighters.
So a single stupid marksmen can shoot you to death :p
i usually read the conversations and hit space when done :)
i agree with darrkphoenix
the end map sharrowdale is easy. I've played on hard and solo slayed the entire first and second part.
I never even build a base
Yeah... I noticed voice acting was going to be lacking when in the tutorial I got to the wounded fighter and, when his dialog used suspension points to indicate the guy was winded and having a hard time breathing, and the actor only talked in a paused manner.
The problem is that I seriously believe the voice actors are not (much) to blame for this, but the writers that didn't write the dialog as script but rather as just text. If the voice actor sees a text and there's not a pointer in the manner of, lets say "Winded, hard time breathing, almost dying" to lead him through, it can be a bit difficult, as I know most of the times these voice actors don't even have the scenes and characters shown for them to dub. Overall, many scenes I noticed the voice actor was trying very hard to do it right, but the inflection was completely off regarding the situation...
About "Forwards", there are cases where the "s" is correct, but I doubt it was the case...

Not sure when this is ever needed. Can you use it in a sentence when the "s" is absolutely required? I am no English major, or grammarian by any stretch, so my asking is because I simply cannot think of a time to use it.
It reminds me of using the word irregardless, when it seem regardless would fit just as well.

Never required, perhaps preferred if one is Brit/Canjan, less so if one is Murrican ;-):
