Hi all.

I have noticed that one of the most performance demanding settings in the game concerns shadow quality. Most importantly, the number of shadows is greatly increased in dependence to the terrain quality setting, which adds extra foliage on the map the higher it is set. Every single foliage prop, has its own shadow, resulting in a sharp drop of performance, while turning down the quality of shadows does not provide a significant boost, unless they are completely turned off. Consequently I believe that it would be of great benefit if there was an option to at least be able to turn off foliage shadows, being able to enjoy the increased amount of vegetation with a reasonable computational cost, instead of the crippling performance cost that comes with the forced rendering of a large amount of shadows, corresponding to every foliage prop.

Cheers.
