Just finished the game and have a question about the ending. In case it was not clear from the topic title, this will contain spoilers, so don't read if you haven't finshed the game.

So what exactly happens to the protagonist. The news report says that "The whereabouts of their head engineer remain unknown" and neither is the location of the flagship Prometheus. Yet the protagonist seems to have made it back to civilization as he's watching the news channel and is in a shuttle "waiting for clearance to depart". So... surely if he made it back someone would have noticed? Or did he come back incognito, hidden/destroyed Prometheus, and started a new life somewhere else?
