What ships are best for fighting found in Space Rangers HD a War Apart

Depends on tech level of the galaxy.
At the start of the game - rocket weapon (As Feyan merc you can have 2 launchers), ships with either +speed or +rocket damage. Valid alternative - upgraded frag cannons, then you would need speed to keep up with targfets.
After getting multiresonators, they are the best for a while. Bonuses to frag weapon/speed
End-game - 3 vertics (with artifacts), bonuses to energy weapon.
