I am glad to announce that we've started to translate some mods from the "Universe" modpack in English.

Note: "Universe" includes 100+ various mods.
All this time most of them worked correctly only with Russian version of the game.
We'll try to do some mods available for you as well.

But it's quite difficult and ungrateful work to translate it only by our enthusiasm.
So we could use your support.

If we'll see attention to the topic, it'll be good motivation to translate more mods.

I also wouldn't mind if someone were to translate the couple of dozen or so text quests that were in the game originally, but were never translated into English for some reason. I know that's not related to your mods so don't expect you guys to do it, just putting it out there... I made an attempt at this ages ago, before the tools were updated, using Google translate (since I don't know Russian) and then editing that into "proper" English, but it was really painful, especially since some of them I couldn't even decipher after the Google translate pass (the "English" that came out was nigh-indecipherable!).

Are you still up, PMTDragon? Most likely I am writing it into the void and there will be no response in the future. Unfortunate that the game, likely, will never be truly translated so all its glory will finally be available for the world to see.

I am sorry but why is the invIte from a "deleted user" and how to be if Discord is absurdly agressive in demands for a phone number? A "little" problematic for some of native speakers, let's say. Have you considered Hosted Weblate designed specifically for translation collaboration? Would it be possible to do phonenumberless Matrix or XMPP?

I suppose, the reason is the invite was created by user who deleted his account some time ago.

As far as I know, phone number verification required by Space rangers Mods community terms to avoid scam, spam and etc. There was an examples. There was a group of people who tried to harass the server by these ways.
So the server administration was forced to add account verification by phone number. To be able to restrict the activities of people who create second accounts for sabotage.

Nothing to worry about because no one will see your number except Discord.

About Hosted Weblate, XMPP and etc. We didn't think much about it because we found relatively few people who would be interested in the translation. So we don't see a reason to host a site for this or something.

Well, maybe Github will do. But we never created a translation thread there.
Because the translation itself and Q/A about SR mod programs are stuff that really need real time communication. And Discord is a handy way for this.

No. On the contrary, much to worry! Don't you know every phone number is linked to the passport in Russia and some other countries? The speech is, honestly, as if "Location" in your account is not real. I don't give a red crab on what a cringy excuse the admins of the server have put own heads in. Many think the same. Would it be a good idea to lose us the careful native speakers in such a situation? Let's face it: Real Russians from Russia are very much required for the project—who do comprehend all the in-game jokes and quirks rather well—but many might not participate because of the number issue, so the few become the fewer just because the platform. If you prefer to insist on leaving us out so much, count me off forever. The hope for the best is shattered into pieces beyond repair.
