I'm currently flying an "Execution" mission (a mission where you're supposed to eliminate an enemy pilot), but the pilot to be executed has been arrested by a planetary government and will be held in prison for 90 days - a bit longer than the 53 days I have left to complete the mission. Is there a way to negotiate the release of the pilot so I can kill him and complete my mission?

Sadly, I don't think so. Though if anyone knows something to the contrary, I'm all ears.
nope you knew the job was dangerous when you took it. Time to find another mission or hope prison life kill em.

If this is Space Rangers 2 that GOG is selling (cannot be sure based on them calling it Space Rangers which came free with Space Rangers 2 at retail), then you can get the prisoner released by paying a fine (bribe?) to get him out..

Just to clarify (I also posted this in another thread), GOG sells both Space Rangers 1 and Space Rangers 2 separately. However, there is only one thread in the forums that is used for both games. They should have updated the thread to be called "Space Rangers Series" but they didn't.

Space Rangers 2 was added more recently so for a while this forum was only for Space Rangers 1.

The version of Space Rangers 2 on sale here does NOT include the Reboot expansion.

The ability to bribe a prisoner out of jail can only be found in the expansion space rangers 2 reeboot. That sadly is not available through gog yet. it can be gotten at impluse however and it works fine with the gog version.
