Maxvorstadt: I`m at the beginning of the game and my task is to kill this training drone. But that seems to be impossible. The drone moves extremely fast and when I manage to come into shooting range this fucker blows my ship into peaces, and I`m playing on easy!!!!!!
So what the fuck can I do?
Are all fights so extremely insane hard?
You may not be able to complete the training mission with just what the game starts you out with, weapon-wise (I believe it's just an industrial laser by default?). The game lets you choose equipment at the start, however, so when you're in the initial screen choosing your character you can choose a missile launcher and a rethone (said equipment will be in storage for you on the station you begin at). The missile launcher is by far the most useful piece of equipment you can choose, as it lets you attack from long range and does great damage. The rethone can slow down the enemy ship as well as heal your ship slightly.
Alternatively, you don't actually have to complete the tutorial right away or at all. You can wait til you've made a bit of money (taking a loan from a business center is a good idea at the start of the game) and can purchase a fragment cannon or two from the shops and a droid to repair your ship, which should make the fight easy enough. Or you can ignore the tutorial entirely - it's honestly not particularly necessary.
I realize it's not the most intuitive design, but it's worth getting past!
