This battle is my problem.

The thing is, Dominators basically have infinite resources, don't they? My losses are 3 to 4 times less than theirs, but after the initial part I run out of resources while AI keeps happily pumping units at the initial pace?

At the video, blue enemy clearly runs out of resources. Mine never does, and unless I push it suicidaly, it keeps pumping stuff at the usual pace all the time. The one time I managed to beat blue, red (who got rid of green) sent 8 or more troops at me, weakened me completely, then the next wave of 6 or 5 robots screwed me for good.

The facts that my robots love blocking each other, not attacking the enemy till it gets to bomb or flamethrower range, and are just generally terrible at pathfinding do not help.

Any tips? I'm playng Reboot 2.0.

I suck at the RTS portion, too, but the long-range (rocket or arty) weapons make life a little easier since you can kill one or two attackers before they get in range to shoot back. Beware the LOS limitations, tho, since that nullifies the range advantage.

Taking manual control of a unit helps reduce some of the AI frustration.

Ultimately, I quit taking those missions... seemed more work than fun.

Repped you up. My 2 main problems were:

1) LoS constantly disrupted by units buzzing around.
2) Units buzzing around due to not using the reverse gear.
3) Selecting groups rather than placing units individually. Group AI is horrible, placing healers in front of shooters and etc.

Now I'll check what you posted too. Thanks for the help!

PS. Oh and I love *tips* to build a stupid mix of 1 repair + 3 rockets. Best way to lose those bottleneck battles is by doing that. Pure 4x launchers and 4x repairers seem to work so much better, especially in small groups.

Riminder, did you try that "stupid" tip? If you just let your robots stand there and take the abuse, or put them on automatic, then that mix might not work so well. However, if you keep the whole group targeted and keep moving them around, you will find that "stupid" tip of 1 repair + 3 rockets works amazing well. I never loose RTS battles. Bottlenecks are no problem for me. Try it.
