Bought Reboot last christmas via Steam and tried it lately, but didn't really get into the game. Checked the web for some good guides for the first steps, but even Gamefaqs barely offered something noteworthy.

Use the faqs/guides for Space Rangers 2: Rise of the Dominators as Reboot did not change the gameplay and only added following to SR2:RotD:

• Five new text quests.
• 27 new planetary battle maps.
• 10 new hyperspace battle maps.
• More than 50 new governmental missions of different types to complete.
• New unique equipment.
• Two new game modes: text-quests and planetary battles.
• Improved galaxy searching system
