Space Quest 1 was one of the first computer games I ever played, on one of the first computers I ever owned, the Apple II GS. Sadly, I was about halfway through the game when I got a recurring error and was unable to play ever again. (Probably a damaged disk.) I had totally forgotten about the game until I saw it on GOG and picked it up so I could finally finish the game 20 years later.
While the game is mostly as I remember it , the music and sound for the DOS version pales in comparison to the Apple version. (I actually like the Apple version of the opening music better than the remastered VGA release.) I know it's very unlikely, but I thought I'd ask if anyone knows of any way to get the old, Apple music for the game.
Even if not, it will be great to finally beat this game. (And play all the sequels I never knew existed!)
There is no way to play the Apple II sounds through the DOS version provided through this site. You would have to make disc images from the original Apple versions, then play them through ScummVM, or another emulator like KEGS
