space haven dev, replied to me. whooooooa. dude. BRUH.
Thank you for the reply, I'm extremely excited. love how the game looks like it feels like rimworld, but better in every way. I love rimworld but it takes 9000 years to load every time even with a good computer and has terrible performance. It also has terrible micromanagement, (not saying micromanagement is bad) It's just bad how rimworld does it. I really love how space haven handles its micromanagement and seems to run so very nice and smooth, seemingly doing everything right that rimworld basically got so very wrong. I'm happy that the game actually lets you go to and be in SPAAAAAACE! rimworld didn't let me do that. Another thing I love is the graphics and art style. It looks retro in a very special way, but nice and clear and HD so it looks retro, but does NOT cause any head aches. I feel like space haven is the best mix of everything that could have been inspired from space station 13, rimworld, and the alien movies, and a bit of lego rock raiders and some old submarine type games and also FTL. I feel like nobody has ever made a game that got things just as amazingly right as space haven seems to be doing in so many different ways all together in one good game. I love the freedom of being able to customize everything so much and go from one place to another. I love the realistic destruction AND creation that can happen in the game. This is the best possible combination of features I have ever seen for this type of game, in my entire LIFE. That being said, I still do hope the price will be reasonable, and not spiderman web string the customers wallet with DLC spam like paradox interactive, ubisoft, EA, and so many others... If there is huge massive content being released like the nice and fair customer loving stuff CD Projekt red does, I will gladly support it if it's a fair price for the content. I love what you are doing and I can't wait to play space haven! O_O woooooooooo

edit: I would love to be able to play a demo, I'm in physical pain from not being able to just play with this game. From the videos I saw so far, it seems demo worthy.. I mean, you know?

edit 2: I love being able to do what ever I want, but that can also get very boring. I do love complete and total freedom, but I also love Deep and Complex Cerebral stories and mysteries. I love that spooky feeling of going "wait... what was that...?" and solving really cool weird things. Story does matter, and I love secrets and mysteries within the game lore. That, if done well spices the game up (as long as it's optional) so so much and I love that. just my 2 cents.

Again thank you so much for the reply! I never knew you would reply! so coooool! I can't believe more people didn't post here. I almost didn't see the forum button on the game page, it's tiny.

Take your time. Rather wait another then have another Fallout 76 or [insert failed kickstarter here].
YES, definitely. Take your time and do it nice and slow and careful. I'm 100% fine with waiting for a good game to be made good. Quality is more important than speed. I would love a demo though... please!
I just wanted to say that I'm still hype for Space Haven! I still care! :D
Just went to the website and it says early access on May 21st!!!?!!!

Sounds great. I hope it works with Linux as I am getting a new Linux computer (sadly, soon, but anytime between the 19th and 29th so not sure exactly when it comes in).

Looks like a great game even if it ends up being a windows game. Keeping my eye on this one.
