Hi folks!

I built a Scanner and the Ops Station. I set the alert level to medium so someone was working at the station. And I set a target for the scanner - but it didn't scan a derelict. What's wrong?

Scanners only work on ships with a functional power grid. =)

Yeah. Scanners don't work on derelicts. I saw that in the details when I read the description.

I don't have much reason to scan ships, so I use that slot to add another turret. I rather kill the pirates faster than figure out if they have something I want.

Is there a good reason to scan ships? I wanna check before I write it off altogether.

I wanted to use scanning to... push... the speed of exploring derelicts. Instead of drafting my crew just scan it (for monsters, for example). Seems saver to me, too.

It means the scan target must have working power. Derelicts are dead.

I can't even get a crew member to board a derelict ship. The 'tutorial' for this game is worthless and I've wasted hours just trying to do basic things.

The scenario hints texts could definitely be better and we are in midst of improving them right at this time. It can be a very subjective experience and depends a lot on which games have been played before.
