I have a suggestion regarding bed occupancy.
Allow multiple people to be assigned to the same bed. This combined with Scheduling allows shipmates to hot bunk without interrupting each others sleep.
Functionally its not much different than 'Anyone' option for beds but from a role-playing pov it allows everyone to still have an assigned bed
