Since I can't find help on the internet or on the official publisher's website, and like many games under modern 64-bit systems, refuse to install, here is a very simple solution:

I uploaded online a shareware version already installed and running on Windows 10 and Seven, both in 64 bits, here is now no more problem to play again to this classic.

So, I install the shareware version first and then the GOG version on top of that?

Space empires 3 and SE 4 are two different games, SE 3 does not exist on gog, they only sell episode 4, I proposed it only for those who did not discover this episode.

So you can install it or you want, I put "deja installed" in the topic to mean you don't need the original setup (the setup no longer runs under 64-bit bones) of the shareware version.

I don't suppose you know the registration code for this game, do you? Fifteen years ago there was a keygenerator floating around google. Now I can't find it.

You know when you make a request to someone the least you can do is say "hello" "please" "thank you" or at least say that you appreciate what they did to make this game work...

You know that it is forbidden to discuss this kind of discussion on the forums and I don't really want the subject to be locked.

In the "readme" file there is the e-mail address of the game creator, you should try to contact him to find out if his game is still on sale or not or if he has become freeware (but I doubt it) because on his website the game link has not worked for years.

Try otherwise to enjoy the shareware version.
