I could not find any way to actually scrap units, only to jettison them, but Settings.txt has a line that says "Scrap Unit Percent Returned", set at 30 just like facilities and ships. Am I missing something, or did they turn off the ability to scrap them at some point in development?

Do you have a space yard facility/ship in the same sector as the item to be scrapped?

Yes, I played this back in the day, I know exactly how to scrap ships, but had never taken a look into changing settings/modding then, so I had never seen that line. Thanks


That line is the only reference I have found to scrapping units. Nothing turns up in the web, not even in mods, so I guess they hardcoded being unable to scrap units (which I believe is a good idea, design-wise). I was just wondering if I had missed something.
