Has anyone else tried looking at the Change Identity selection in the Game Options?

I'm using it on Windows 7 Pro, and when I go to Change Identity, no identities are listed. If I select Add New User, it creates a new identity (creates a new directory under Users), and sets the game to point to the new user, but even quitting and coming back will not show this user, or any others, and Select is grayed out.

If there are others experiencing this problem, I will submit a bug report to GOG.

I've Vista so can't test, I'm going to try it now on Vista to see if I have the same issue.

gosh, i have the same Issue. I think anyway default created identity will be enough for me.
Any one know how to workaround (for example by setting the name of the identity in a *.ini file) or by adjiusting administrator privileges for the application? I tried something but failed.

In the meanwhile the support service answered:

The profiles and save games aren't deleted, you can use the identity manger to add new uses that has the same name as the old one, you will regain access to your save files."

Hope that will be usefull for regain access to your saved files. I'm loving Space Colony XD maps are really challengin. When I finished galaxy mode i'll try sandbox XD

Half a year later, I have the same problem (under Mac OS X). Creating a “new” identity with the same name on each launch works around it, but is a tad insane. The game also forgets its preferences on each launch.

this is 2015 and I am using Windows 7 Ultimate and I still have the problem. no id's listed in roster. I can type them to get the mission progress, but would be nice to be able to select.
