Hya,
I need help. My girlfriend is playing Space Colony and we are unable to figure out how shield barriers (or however is that building named) work. It is first military building you get in camaign but we are not able to figure out way to use it. We tried placing it in different distances and angles, even placing it one next to another, but nothing seems to make it work.
So if anyone could help us how to get it work, we would be really glad.

EDIT: So today one of them worked and the others didn't even better. I don't even know what difference was betweeen them.

The only thing that can get in the way of two posts not having energy running bewteen them is if they are too far apart from each other.

Set down two posts, if energy is not flowing between them set another one in the niddle - that way you'll start to get the feel for the distace at which they can connect.

You can load a peaceful world in sandbox mode to practice posioniting them (although force fields are mostly useless without lasers complementing them)

Thanks for answers. We got most of them working later, when the game moved on second planet. Not sure what we did wrong with on the first planet but at least it works now.

Yeah, I don't find them too useful either. We will see if they'll get any use from us in the future.
