Hello,
I cant start SC HD. I have a Mac Pro with 10.10 and a iMac with 10.6.8.

Because the support of GOG dont accept my System Report Log (.spx), I cant ask them.

I see only one time at the first start a window with "Wine etc.". But nothing happens. And now, the programm dont start. Stronghold HD (buy it same time) works...

I have installes XQuarz and Wine latest versions, but nothing work.

Thank you
Andreas

Save the report as .xml or .txt.

I have the same problem on 10.11. I've tried reconfiguring Wine as mentioned in another thread but it still won't start. All I see is a black screen with the Space Colony logo at the upper left then the game quits back to the desktop.

At first launch a popup comes up with something about the "Wine configuration" but it goes away too quickly for me to read it.

AND, I tried submitting a problem report but I was unable to attach the System Profile as any of .spx, .xml, or .txt file. I can select it but the web page doesn't upload it. I tried Chrome and Safari browsers.

How? I have no choice. It saves only .spx-Files.

Thank you.

On older versions of OS X it gave you a choice. In your case you can just change the extension to .txt.

Worked for me using Firefox (on Linux) with this link. Worst case you can attach an empty .txt file to the ticket and reply to the automated support email with the System Report.

I couldn't attach ANY files. The Choose File link goes through the motions but nothing is added to the report. I'll try Firefox but if neither Chrome nor Safari work (and they work the same) then I don't hold much hope for Firefox. And with no file attach the system wouldn't accept the report.

I have opened a web page issue with GoG which doesn't require any files attached.

EDIT: I received a response from my web problem report and was able to submit the Wineskin logs and my System Info through email. There was no mention of the web problem but I assume they are now aware of it.

SOLVED ... again ...

I got a response very quickly to my problem from GoG. Here's what they said:

Hello

This might sound strange, but please try to launch the game after you unplug/disconnect your printer.

Alternatively you can try changing the version of Wineskin and Wine engine. To do this you will need to install Wineskin Winery from here:
http://wineskin.urgesoftware.com/tiki-index.php?page=Downloads
Start the application and use it to download additional versions of Wine (by clicking +).
Now you should be able to right click the game's app, select Show Package Contents and run Wineskin.app.
If the Wineskin.app is not there go to Contents > Resources > game, right-click the game's app select Show Package Contents and open Wineskin.app.
In the Advanced options change the engine to the one you have downloaded.
I have no printer attached so I downloaded the latest Wine engine (1.9.2) and it now works fine!

Thanks, GoG!

Great! Installing Wineskin worked for me as well.
I downloaded the PC-Version and started it with CrossOver - this works too.
