Started the game for the first time. No images after start "play". The text prompts are displayed, but nonne of the images that are being narrated will come up. Corrupt copy I suppose.

I suppose replying to a thread from 2018 isn't of much use to the OP at this date, but just in case anyone else wanders in.. the VN starts with a solid black background during the first few dozen lines of narrative (and I presume that is intentional). No need to panic, it's not broken.
