I've made it to the inn in Madgral so I've played for about 15-20 mins, but I've only heard sound effects so far and the game seems very quiet without music (only to be heard in the intro and when I alter the volume on screen) or voices so far.

Is this the same for everyone or have to been hearing music and voices at this point?

Sorry guys.. I'm getting voices now... I had my speaker set to output stereo sound to 5.1 matrix... but the game seems already to be 5.1 and the centre channel was being hidden...

I have voices and music, so it must be on your end. No clue what might cause this, sorry.

Yeah.. just me being dumb... I do notice though that the music doesn't start till you meet your uncle.

On another note... have you suffered any crashing?

I've done the usual things, no uac, run as admin, xp compat... it crashes more that it sould. :/

I've played for 15-30 mins, killed the bandit near the Ferry and then to Madrigal and the Inn talking people up and such. Just fooling around to see how everything runs and so far fine, no crashes or glitches. (Running Win 7 64 w/Nvidia 460M 268.30 drviers on Asus G73)

Maybe it's a DX issue? Soemtimes reinstalling DX helps. Good luck!

I'd like to see you play it a bit more.. at least to Ravenscar, to see if problems develop by then, mine only really started, crash wise, once I was doing stuff in Madgrigal and beyond.
