Once had been playing this for a dozen hours or so, fought and died and killed monsters a great deal. And then started thinking the end was near.
But no, it was just a local culmination for the .. well, some kind of a preface to the game proper.

Yes, it's long even for a RPG veteran.

I know this thread has been marked as "SOLVED", but since started with the game a while back and always wanted to know how long it is, I'm going to post the time it took me. Mostly because, considering how people were talking about the game, I never was sure if the game might end up being 100 hours or more long.

Fortunately I ended up with just 45 hours with some help from a walkthrough. And I would say it was worth it. I wouldn't say that it is a great game, but I found the atmosphere to be good at times (i love snow ;-)) and the way the magic system can end up making it easy for you/ f***ng you over, is very interesting. Still, I wouldn't exactly recommend it.
