Iirc, you might not know it or believe it but this was the first game that had Deformed Terrain. All those mountains, hills and craters you see in games like Skyrim, didn't exist before this game was released. Additionally there was a huge cast of characters and voice actors, one of the largest atm. While I haven't played it in years, want to say maybe 100 different voiced NPCs.
I think Populous or Magic Carpet was the first for Deformed Terrain

This was most certainly not the first game with deformed terrain.
I never played either game Desjay mentioned.

So which is it, most certainly BelatedGamer?

That depends, what exactly do you mean by deformed terrain?
Up until Soulbringer, at least all the first and third person perspective and isometrics I remember had flat surfaces with vertical inclines to hills or mountains areas. In Soulbringer you could actually walk/run on non vertical inclines such as hills or craters, which were not pathed in the sense of only one way. I guess, curved ground surfaces might be a better way to describe it.

You sound like you disagree, not sure what games your basing your position on, so I have no way to respond.
