The trick to getting this game to run (with standard GOG game files!) is simple: In the Win10x64 "compatibility" tab from the game executable's "properties" page, the *only* thing that should be set is "Win98/ME compatibility"--leave everything else unchecked.

When you run the game from its shortcut, an option box will popup on screen. Select the "Video" tab and then make sure you select one of the several *16-bit* resolutions you are asked to chose from. I pick 1280x1024x16, myself. 32-bit modes will not work, neither will setting the game exe's compatibility tab to either 16-bits or 8-bits. You must select your 16-bit resolution from the popup menu at the start of the game.

Hit "Play" after setting your 16-bit res, and away you go...plays very nicely. Sound is just a bit in and out, but other than that, plays nice for a game from such an early DX version.

In addition to running fine in Windows10x64 (I haven't used any version of Windows10x64 in which the above instructions failed to run the game successfully), I'm also currently running an RX-480 8GB, Adrenalins 18.2.3 (these instructions worked fine for my previous AMD GPU, too--an R9 280 running the Crimson driver sets.)
