i have a problem when i try to start the game i get the massage :

Failed loading assets!
files missing songsofsyx C:\...\AppData\Roaming\

The game could not write to its file directory. Please check permissions

I ran into the same thing. I think it might be related to installing the game on a drive other than C:

Open windows explorer and go to C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming

Create a directory called songsofsyx (all lower case, no spaces)

Right click the new directory, properties, security, advanced

Add, select principal, type "everyone" and click OK, check full control, click OK again.

You should be able to run it now.

Today i installed Songs of Syx for the first time. Had the same error message. Manually creating the folder fixed the problem.

I'm sorry about this issue, it should now be fixed.
