Hi,

I was playing in early access without any issues for few hours. Today I updated the game to 1.0 and it stopped working. I just have some logos, then the game splash screen with spinning ball in the middle and it stays that way until I kill the process. I tried to reinstall it on gog galaxy, remove completely and install through .pkg and nothing works, still the same result.

I have Mac M1 with 8GB of Ram. As I mentioned, game used to run fine but it's broken now. Any advices how to fix it?

I see the same thing on my MB Pro M1. I was able to fix it by:

* Selecting the SongsOfConquest.app icon in the Applications folder
* Choosing Get Info
* Checking "Open using Rosetta"

This will put the application into a compatibility mode for binaries that were not compiled for Apple Silicon. There will be a performance hit but the application appears to run correctly.
We're really sorry for the inconvenience. We think something might have gone wrong when we updated the engine a while back. We're looking into it!

How did you update the game on Gog? I installed without using Galaxy. Is it necessary to download the entire 1.0 version of the game? Thanks
I've been playing the Beta fine, I downloaded the new 1.0.1 version, and it just sits on the loading screen :( I'm running a MacBook Air M3 with Sonoma MacOS.

Hi, Yep, need to redownload if the patch isn't listed. GoG Galaxy doesn't work correctly on Mac so manually install as well.

Tried with latest published version as of today (1.0.2_e59357f83c_1832) and still hangs. :(

Hoping for a quick solution
Seeing similar.

M2 Air 24GB
Sequoia 15.0.1
songs_of_conquest_enUS_1_3_2_ab33a56fa6_2308_.pkg

Right clicking, Get Info, Run with Rosetta appears to launch game.

Seems like this has been possibly happening since 2023.

Not a dev but would prefer would run under Apple Silicon native for battery life. It sounds possibly related to some discord stuffs, seems like worth removing potentially on Mac and GOG builds.
