On Ubuntu 22.04 Wayland session, the gamma slider in this game and others from Frictional does not work. I would have liked to make the game a bit darker. Is this a known issue, or is there a way around it?

I spent a long time messing with vkbasalt and goverlay trying to get them to work, only to realize that SOMA runs on OpenGL and I don't think there's a way to change that.

quick update/workaround: this python script allows you to change the gamma for the whole system. i dont know if the Soma devs intended to change the system gamma with the slider, but the following script allows you to manually set it yourself via the terminal. i set mine to 0.8 and i think it looks better for the game on my monitor, which is a Samsung UJ59:
