Is there a fix for this? I'm trying to run the repair but it just sits at "Checking files 0.0%"

Checked I had updated Nvidia drivers, checked it was running using Nvidia rather than Intel on-0chip graphics, tried everything I could find on the Internet, but still crashes on startup - just a black full-screen, then it crashes.

Same with me, black screen at start up..never changes, then crashes. Looks like hard drive is in a loop. Tried to verify/repair like above, and never changes from "Checking files O.O%". I buy games here, but I may not anymore. I want my money back. Oh wait, it was free..

Same issue for me too. Windows 7, AMD 5700. Black screen, stopped working. I tried opeing in windowed mode, running as administrator, other settings from shortcut menu etc. Bummer.
