I am very new to using GOG but the first two games i bought including this one have the UAC shield stuck on the desktop icon. Does anyone know how to get rid of the UAC shield and why it appears on my game shortcuts?

That's because some older games are set to run as administrator for compatability with newer versions of Windows. But it's not always needed, especially if you don't install games to Program Files, so you can try right-clicking on the icon and going to Properties and then the Compatibility tab to turn it off. Not sure if it will work with this game but you can try!

Alright well if that is the case i'll leave it alone as it doesn't bother me too much and only two games i own have the icon, those being the oldest games in my library(2001-2004)
