Inside the \profiles\player folder is the "key" file.

I highly recommend to back it up (make a copy - rename it, or just ctrl+left-mouse-click drag it to create a "Keys - Copy"). If anything goes wrong (typo, whitespace?) you will get an error message trying to start the game and it will close.

open Key file with any text-editor and find the following lines (already edited)

}
{control
{single_select "~SHIFT + MOUSE_LEFT"
{noedit}
}
{group_select "~SHIFT + MOUSE_LEFT"
{noedit}
}
{reset_select "~SHIFT + MOUSE_RIGHT"
{noedit}
}
{order "MOUSE_RIGHT"
{noedit}
}

You can of course edit any number of keys to your preference, since the in-game mapping (even as "Administrator" does not work (at least for me) on Win10. It resets itself.)

At the end of editing, do make sure to check all entries, so you won't mess something up (cannot have right-click do two things at once.

Thankfully, this game allows for the use of meta-keys (ctrl alt shif)

Have fun right-clicking the (more) familiar way.
Wow this sounds intresting.

this is the only RTS i played since it cameout since 2004. have 2 boxed versions. and its already installed. im about to buy GOG ver also just incase it gets some update one day incase windows 10 breaks it.

Been playing this for almost 20 years and had know idea that in modern sequels of this people use the right click lol. Good cause this will prepare me (controls wise) for Faces of war and then men of war (bought those too didnt play yet. )
