Just bought SOF1 and installed the SOFplus mod, but the environment seems to be bugged. Running this on Win10 and nvidia gtx 1070, so it might be a problem with my pc compatibility. There's a random chance that whenever I walk or get near a wall, my character will glide across the ground ignoring my inputs. Is there a setting to turn this off or a command that can disable this somehow? Any help would be appreciated.
The search must have been a hard one...

I've tried every single one of those solutions to no avail. The console commands don't seem to work at all and forcing vsync didn't change anything.

EDIT: in particular, the console commands seem to be ignored by the game itself. Lowering the frame rate in the SoFplus menu didn't actually reduce the frame rate from 143 either.

Well if you can go to your video card options/control panel (whatever video card brand you are using) look and try to enable vsync (verticle sync).

I've already tried enabling v-sync through the nvidia control panel and literally nothing changed. Do you know how to change the frame rate by any chance? I seem to be stuck at 143 fps despite using the SoFPLUS console commands to lower it. I know FPS can alter physics in old games. Maybe i'm entering the codes incorrectly.

The SoFplus menu setting modifies the cl_maxfps cvar, which is not used in single player mode.

Try changing the _sp_cl_frame_delay cvar in the console. The default is 7, which limits the framerate to about 143 (1000 / 7). That is low enough to get rid of the flashing ethernet icon, but not for sliding, in your case.

]cl_maxfps
"cl_maxfps" is "30"

so what do you type in the console? _sp_cl_frame_delay cvar ? then copy and paste all that and hit enter?
Set max FPS to 62 in SOF plus and type this in console:

_sp_cl_frame_delay 16
