Despite capping my framerate to 60, even 58, I still slide to the right when moving, it is especially visible when walking backward and much less forward, unlike when uncapping the framerate.

Is there any way to fix the issue or should I just go on with it ?

How did you cap the frame rate?

Best ways are either through NVidia Control Panel, adding SOF.exe to the list and using the frame limiter there.

or going to the config file in the installed folder and editing there and then making it read only.

I tried capping the framerate in-game, and using RivaTuner. Didn't try with Nvidia's control panel because I know it doesn't work on some old games.

Worst case, I'll turn my monitor back to 60hz until I beat the game, but it's definitely not a very comfortable way of playing. This game needs a modern port/update bad

try capping at 120 instead...usually anyhing from 120 and lower works i havnt messed with this yet but yeat this is annoying i might just refund it too much b.s to play this game. crazy how half life 1 works just fine and that games from 1998 and this game you have to do so much shit just to get it to run at 1440
