Some members of the SoF1 community have released a http client so you can start the game up and connect to any servers without waiting ! see below:

~What~
- Quick http map/file downloads

~How~
- Go to the http_client page -> click SOF PLATINUM.zip -> click < download >
- Extract the file to your SoF.exe folder
- Start SoF via sof-http-cl.bat
- Delete all map paks you may have (e.g. from CE) and any in your maps folder (to ensure you get correct files from the vault)

~Other~
- Missing ghoul / strip files downloaded if missing
- SoFplus server sounds (as of 2021-03-03 all are supported)

~Add new things~
- mapname.zip containing all custom files added to the vault first
- Same for server sounds
