Quite frequently I'll run into an enemy that I just can't seem to hit. I'll keep getting rolls that are higher than the enemy AC, but they still miss and the battle log doesn't show why. Is this a bug or a mechanic I've missed?

Attached a picture to show what I mean.

I don't see any reason why those attacks would miss assuming the "Evil Priest" uses the official Priest stats and spell list.

If those were ranged attacks, it could have been three-quarters cover that gives +5 AC.

Could also be that this particular priest has the shield spell for some reason (which also gives +5 AC).

buffs, covers etc... add them to ac.
attacking with DISadvantage vs Advantage vs Neutral.

Neutral (neither advantage nor disadvantage) you roll TO HIT, once and go by that result.

With Advantage, you roll to hit twice, and take the better of the 2 rolls.

With DIS advantage, you roll twice and get the worse of the 2 rolls.

Most likely, your misses are being caused by not understanding the LIGHT rules in Solasta, and thereby attacking creatures with DISadvantage.
