Since the built in emuator really sucks, i want to play the game in a different emulator. while all the other SNK releases have the roms included, this one doesnt. how to get it anyway?

If the roms/bins are not in the folder, try to download the standalone installer for mac or linux and try to open the archive. They might be there. I don't have Shock trooper 2nd squad, but it worked like this for Last blade and probably some other games offered here.

Spectrum_Legacy: If the roms/bins are not in the folder, try to download the standalone installer for mac or linux and try to open the archive. They might be there. I don't have Shock trooper 2nd squad, but it worked like this for Last blade and probably some other games offered here.
i did, unfortunately it's an archive file, that i can't open on windows. :(

Ah that sucks then. In the case of last blade, the osx standalone installer version is a normal zip file that you can unpack and it has both lastblad.zip and neogeo.zip inside in one of the subfolders. Linux version can be forced open by 7zip but didn't have anything useful to see through windows. Thought it would have been similar for Shock trooper the 2nd.

I checked it out and the roms are there, in the osx zip file. However you have to unpack the pkg file then too, find a file named Scripts, unpack that one, it has another file named Scripts, unpack that one again, head into payload, contents, resources and there it is (shocktr2.zip) along with bios neogeo.zip file.

Hope it helps. Used rather recent version of 7zip for all that.
