The GoG version of Metal Slug X seemingly runs better than the Humble Bundle releases, but from what I understand the other version are basically the same as the Humble Bundles versions. Personally I found Metal Slug 1-3 unplayable from Humble Bundle and found X to be significantly more playable, however on GoG X has a better framerate, in my experience, and the rebindable keys is a very nice feature. That being said, this is only for X, again I hear 1-3 are pretty much the same as Humble Bundle.

That's sad and pathetic if true. Like WeirdoGeek, I bought the games from Humble, and they were such a mess to play there. Shit like this is simply unacceptable - it can't be that hard to make a good re-release, but like with Raiden Legacy, DotEmu doesn't give enough of a fuck to get it done right.

Wondering the same thing. I got the Humble Store version a while ago and have only had time to check out Garou. The Humble version is pretty much just the arcade version in a basic emulation wrapper, but the Steam version of Garou is apparently a bit more elaborate. Where do these fall?
