like the title says the question for me is if the Multiplayer is playable via LAN or is there an internet connection necessary?

I still visit LANs and not on everyone is an internetconnection available.

I would like to know this myself. I know Sniper Elite V2 had player hosted dedicated servers in the past, I'm hoping this version will also. It would have been a pre order for me if they listed it. Hopefully it will include some form of LAN.

I hope LAN will come in an update.

We played a lot Sniper Elite 4 coop with my partner, and unfortunately the servers' connections were unstable; it was a pain losing connection after one hour of playing, with the client player losing all of his achievements when coming back.
If there was at least some kind of recovery system when this happens, it would make long online games much more bearable.
