Did anyone get this running on Linux? I am getting this popup which seems to omit some text.
The three install files are in the same folder.

I can't try myself, but I read in many places the game works fine with WINE. Since PlayOnLinux is using WINE, it should be fine to run it with.
Did you try to install the game with the latest version of WINE without using PlayOnLinux ?

The interesting result appears to be that the popup suggests the installation stops; but it actually finishes correctly in the background. eventually.
