Been searching around, but can't seem to find out what Veteran Mode does.

My best guess is maybe it removes the 200 turn starting 'cushion' to ease you in?

So what does it do?
Make fights harder?
Make it harder to earn profits through trade?
Harder missions/quests?

I'm no Veteran, but I do like a challenge and would really like to know what this affects lol.
