I've found this version of the game suffers from the same game-breaking issue as the original release - you can't save your game.

Every time you go to the save game screen after a race, it lets you choose a slot and claims to save it. But when you come to reload games, it says there are no games saved!

So the only way to complete the entire championship is to do all the races in one go. Unfortunately I'm not 13 anymore so I don't have enough time to do this! Any chance of a patch?

I finished the GOG version of Slipstream a while ago and didn't have any problems saving / loading my progress.

Which OS are you running?

Have you tried using other slots every time you save?
Ah, I've fixed the problem.

It seems that if you go through the graphics settings option and then choose 'save settings' and 'run game', this for some reason seems to load as a different version to simply running the standard shortcut. Got my saves and settings back!
