I have the same problem, please can somebody help!? I bought the game and I get this problem and absolutely the problem is with the achievements called "Get Used To It". I can't play a video game like that and the solution does not have to be Alt + F4.

This is pretty egregious at this point. It's been almost a year since this was reported and still not fixed.

I'm guessing the freezing issue is still unresolved? Meaning, every time a player dies, they have to tab out of the game and restart?

I don't know if this issue happens to everyone, but I know it happens to me and a few others. There has been no new update since the last one that introduced the bug.

Someone mentioned it could have something to do with one of those ridiculous achievements for dying the first time. Maybe it has a to be connected with gog galaxy. Who knows.

That's unfortunate. I tried to track down the developers, as sometimes issues like this can be solved by appealing directly to a game's creator or team, but the Wolfbrew website is offline and I didn't see any indication that they currently have an online presence.

It looks like Dethpool tested the game with Galaxy back in August 2016 without any luck. I was wondering if anyone having this problem has downloaded the version of the game packed with Galaxy. Theoretically, the two installers would be largely identical and act the same way, but as you said, who knows. :/

It's a shame, since it is a pretty cool game, which is unfortunately marred by this major bug in the gog version. The lack of customer service on the issue makes me very unlikely to pick it up on steam to see if it doesn't have the same issue.

Unfortunately, I can't run galaxy, if it does have anything to do with it, since it doesn't seem to support XP.

Just tried game for the first time. Stuck on death screen with no way out. I downloaded and installed this game through galaxy and running the game from it. So if it doesn't work installed from stand alone installer, then I don't think there's any hope left. Only thing I can think of now is getting someone else to decompile the Unity files and fix the problem.

I would like to play this game. Bought 2017 and waiting solution for this matter. Can not believe that GOG sells this game and it does not work at all. PLEASE HELP.

I just started it and good thing I thought to quickly claim the first death achievement and discovered this bug. Talk about annoying. This also means that the only way to play it is to advance to checkpoints, restart the game if you die and then load up the save file? All while having to forget about achievements? pfft. If I had not purchased in on a sale for $2 USD. I would be quite pissed off. I am still mad tho. Incredible this bug has not been patched. Still submitted a ticket.

Ended up trying it in another PC and in this one It don't has this bug. Quite odd. But on the one that gets this bug. Bug is just unfixable no matter what. Really weird.

I'm also having the same problem: the game becomes completely irresponsive after dying. That makes the game utterly unplayable. If I were to suggest an improvement to the next patch, I would cut out the death screen and implement a simple respawn at the last checkpoint. I think death screens slow down the gameplay, especially in action platformers. Hopefully there'll be a patch to fix this soon. We have the right to be able to play the games we buy!

Any major differences between the pc's? Different operating systems? Internet connection?

I'm curious. I'm on win xp myself.
