I like to point out too that this fix did not fix the weapon firing sounds not being played. can anyone in this topic or anywhere confirm on this glitch?

My experience is the same... weapon sound effects are silent.

Also, although the DLC event issue was fixed, the posted hotfix did not work for me... it was necessary to download to the main installer packages again and reinstall.

Was the patch to fix this ever released? The dlc bug not the audio. I could care less about that in comparison.

Yes, the DLC issue has been fixed. We're just waiting on the audio bug fix now.
