Hi I am getting a weird stuttering during gameplay. It's like I am playing on a high latency sever or something but in single player making the game pretty much unenjoyable right now. Anyway to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Try setting your max FPS to a lower value. It's set at 1000 by default for some reason. Find your game config file in the base\players\(playername, default is "blade") folder. Open it in Notepad, find the line saying:

set cl_maxfps "1000"

Take a zero off of that and save.

Sme problem, whenever anything flashes everything slows to a crawl. I tried the FPS fix but it didn't seem to work.

Is it a 3DFX thing?

In that case it's OpenGL emulation itself, no matter if by game or nglide means, so you probably don't have complete support for it.

Augh, I set the main driver to 3DFX because the OpenGL default was making my video card go nuts. Would SoftwareRender help? I just don't want a repeat of the crazy crash.

Edit: Any kind of light flickering.

Same here.
Finally got to see the menu, and start playing (newest nglide installed).
Now, it stutters all over the place.
Tried the limit fps trick, didnt work.
Going to try to set affinity to just 1 cpu, see if that works.

Edit:
Set it to 60 (on both Blade and Dave3d files), and no more stutter.

Got the same Problem.

Flashing light and explosions slows down to unplayable fps.

Also tried the workaroud to rename sin.exe to quake3.exe, no success.
Hey there,

setting r_dynamic "1" to "0" in the config.cfg (Players Profile) finally worked for me

:)
Yes that fixed it!
Use Nglide in order to be able to enjoy dynamic lighting and still maintain a solid frame rate. Or, use Opengl; though it's silky smooth using Opengl, I find the textures look a bit blurry.
Dropping the frame rate to 120 worked for me. =)
