Wronschien: Thanks, I find it strange that it wouldn't be the same language licence across all platforms though. Clearly this wouldn't be the case on a more recent game.
Anyway, that's no big deal because I could find a French version and voices are not dubbed, only text is translated. I will buy it on GOG some day.
Simon licencing is a terrible mess. Simon 4 and 5 had to be removed from GOG because of that.
Games from that time often had different publishers in each country who payed and owned the translations or are collaborations with several parties holding partial rights. So if a company still holds "some" rights, but only exists on paper (if at all), no one can get them.
Try to find the rights holder for No One Lives Forever :)
GOG and also others tried to get that game for years, but no one is willing to go to the basement to search the according files. But they are more than willing if someone republishes the games without their consent.
