Scummvm isn't too bad but for some games I do prefer ye'ol DOSBox .. any way to rollback 1 & 2 to those versions, or it's stuck with Scummvm now? earliest rollback on Galaxy (for both 1 & 2) is dated at 6 years ago.. version 26561066 and 26560918 respectively and both are still Scummvm even after rolling back.

Both the offline installers from the store are also Scummvm aswell.

Am I shit outta luck or is there light at the end of the tunnel?
I think you only would need to add the DOS executable and other files to the directory where gog installs Simon.

Here: mega.nz/file/QlJngSLZ#ZpSTDBpAjb6-KbJ7dQC9GijGzWK3GYYJzn17i0zAMAA

So, unzip that file in the same directory where Simon is installed and then you can run it like:

dosbox SIMON.BAT

I tested it and it worked fine, but of course I don't guarantee anything.

Btw, why you prefer to play it on Dosbox? what it does that Scummvm can't?
I've had a few instances where Scummvm plays some sfx or music differently to what I remembered when I played them as a young lad, Dosbox tends to do a good carbon copy of everything.

Maybe I'm just a perfectionist? Ah well lol
Well, if you play it on dosbox and you do find a difference, maybe you could report it as a bug to scummvm:
