I can download the setup file without a hitch, but when I run it, I always get a message telling me that the "simcity1.dat file is missing", or "simcity2.dat file is missing", or some .mp3 or another is missing. I have re-downloaded it multiple times and yet I still cannot obtain a version without missing files, and when I click "Ignore", the game doesn't rune. Clicking "Retry" doesn't help either. Help is appreciated please.

How about a screenshot of the install directory? Create a new folder and move the install files into it. Looks like your browser renamed at least one of the files, the (1). Try fixing the naming by removing it.
