OK, so I own a budget CD-Rom version of Sim City 3000 (UK Edition). I recently installed that and it didn't work, so I googled it and discovered short of using a No-CD crack or allowing a possible malware exploit, my CD version is now a coffee cup coaster.

So, I bought the GOG version. Yet it keeps asking me to insert the CD?!

I'm going to try an uninstall and a registry clean, in case it's getting confused between my CD version and the GOG version (perhaps they didn't bother changing the registry keys?), so wish me luck!

Anybody else had this issue? I browsed through 4 or 5 pages of threads but didn't see it anywhere.

Nevermind, just had to "run as administrator", so annoying!
