So happy to find the Sim City 2000 again. But what a waste of money! Can 't place roads or houses etc. there are no sound effects or music. Really disappointed and have dumped it!

Can't place roads? You're doing it wrong then.
As for houses, you don't place houses, you just place residential zones, then when people move into your city they get houses built.
